Eugene T. Lucas Jr. is a Doctoral prepared Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with experience in Nursing education, primary mental and physical health care in an outpatient ambulatory clinic, inpatient Psychiatric Unit for adults and children; chronic, long term geriatric settings; and acute Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation settings. Areas of expertise include Adult Psychiatry, Veterans, Dual Diagnoses, Developmental Disability, care of the older adult (gero), opiate medication assisted treatment, Detox, and care of an inmate population (forensic);Family practice. As an Associate Professor at Wilkes University he is adept at problem analysis, and has the ability to develop programs and systems for efficient graduate and doctoral education. He exhibits excellent organizational skill and personal integrity while developing harmonious and productive interpersonal relationships with professional staff members, students, and other ancillary personnel. His previous awards include the 2017 American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Pennsylvania State Award for Excellence and the 2017 Volunteers In Medicine (VIM) Volunteer of the Year.
