Dr. Rifai

Dr. Rifai is an American-Syrian physician executive and scientist and a world renowned researcher on the medical aspects of psychiatric illness. He is a recipient of the National Insitute of Mental Health Clinical Excellence Award in 2005 and the prestigious William Webb Award from the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine in 2006. Dr. Rifai is originally from Aleppo, Syria.

Dr. Rifai' National Research Service Award fellowship training in neuroscience was at the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine in Memphis. His residency training in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry Program was at the University of Virginia, School of Medicine. Dr. Rifai then completed further clinical fellowship training at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center and the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Rifai is the American Psychiatric Association Janssen Scholar on Psychiatric and Medical Disorders, he is the William Webb Fellow of the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine

Eugene T. Erica is a licensed, Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She brings over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with the last 13 years specializing in psychiatry. She completed her education and training at Adelphi University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2020, she was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Nursing Practice from Wilkes University. In addition to working in healthcare, Erica has lectured in the Associate nursing programs at Northampton Community College. She is also a preceptor of undergraduate nurses, practicing nurses and nurse practitioner students in various areas of patient care.



Erica provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and holistic interventions for adults with mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, insomnia, and PTSD. Erica's goal is to empower others. She remains dedicated to education, health promotion, preventative screening, and behavior change to attain optimal health for the community.
